There are people would call that an arsenal. I call it a good start. Nice collection. One of these days I will get somone to show me how to post photos. I have a military collection. A Stevens collection that is mainly single shots. A Remington 500 series collection. A blackpowder collection. A working hunting gun collection. And a lot of miscelaneous stuff. Money and space are my limitations.

That's only a smidgen of my collection - almost all of my Garands (I think I've got 2 or 3 more?), but only about 20% of my K98s and 10% of my pistols. I have a slight advantage over most - I've been collecting for 55½ yrs. The longer you're at it - even with a major set back (36 guns stolen in 71) - the more you acquire. Here are my M1 Carbines - 2 Win, early and late, 2 Inlands and a Nat'l Postal Meter (the 45 is a 1913 3rd contrakt Navy). Also most of my russian & a couple of chicoms. Posting photos on here is easy. Under the reply box it says "click here to upload" that lets you go to your hard drive and select your photos. I have all mine resized to 800x600 or smaller. Sarge

Can't really say I have an absolute favorite firearm. I have several that I like to shoot on a regular basis and have maby 6 or 7 with war trophy papers - including an SKS & Makerov that I brought back. I have one that I wish I had trophy papers on because it was my first military weapon. It's a German K98k that I got fron an uncle who brought it back. At 16 or even in later years I never thought to ask questions so don't have a clue where & how he got it, but it had all the goodies including a bayonet. I still have it. It is in the first rifle in the 2nd photo. Here is a photo of the MAK, it's a ruskie in near mint condition. Sarge

Gonna have to show these pix to my wife & maybe she'll stop complaining about my puny 14 gun collection, altho all of my guns are used once & awhile. By the way illegal aliens are no longer called undocumented immigrants, the Obama administration refers to them as UNDOCUMENTED DEMOCRATS.

ORIGINAL: oldwelder I have been collecting Marlins and have about 14 of them The oldest are my two rim fire pistols 1873 & 1875 Newest old Marlin is a top break in 38 S&W.. and then I have the rifles Nice collection, especially those old pistols. I'm not a collector per se as I use all of my guns. I'm in Fla now & 90% of my guns are back in NY. But I do have a photo of my hunting guns which I recently posted in a Hunting Mag Forum which I'd like to share. From top to bottom you'll find my Browning 12 gauge auto, my Weatheby 30-378, my Browning (BAR) in 30-06, my German made Ithaca .22 saddle gun (the only .22 I hunt with) & my Ruger .44 mag. My Marlin .35 336 was at the gunsmith when I took this photo.

I do shoot all of my Marlins less the two rim fire pistols,,.32 R F the ones that are the most fun to shoot are the Camp 9,the .357 lever . The 322 in .222 is a tack driver.. We only take a few Marlin target shooting . Most of the time we take the 10-22 and a Springfield target . I don't hunt anymore,,lack of land in Ill noise. But we can target shoot just about anywhere . I do know a few farmers around here that will let us target shootout in the back 40..but not hunt....

That's a shame ... but if they let you shoot, but not hunt ... I guess they're keeping the deer for themselves. OR, sometimes they want a little payola which is reasonable. I've been dying to find a corn field I can hunt.

The farmers have LOTS of family members that hunt.. But seeing that we help out we still get some deer meat and pheasant for our table. Kind of a trade off for the welding that I do for them every now and then.. I still get to shoot.. Targets .I like the target shooting more...WARMER !!

There is one (1) Marlin that I'd like to have - a 39A Mounty. No interest in any of their other guns. Sarge
